There comes a time when your hard work pays off. It’s not the kind of hard work you wish for, but it’s a drawback to the negative things that can hinder you.

August 4, 2007 was my graduation day. It started off with stress and nerves, but it ended up a very productive day. I had family there to cheer me on, and most importantly I got to see some of the online students I post with during my two years of college. It was fun bringing names to faces. I got to mingle and feel proud that I was a graduate of Kaplan University. I received my Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies.

It was a day of hard work for all the graduates and we came together in a very honorable and proud moment as we all let our egos celebrate our victory. It was a very memorable moment for me, and a day I will never forget.

I have my Associate Degree, and my Bachelor Degree is right around the corner as my education continues on!

I remember writing my online articles about the school where you never have to leave your home, and education is right at your fingertips with a click of a button. As you can see my online education continues until I receive my Master’s Degree. I am in my living room, bedroom, in the car, my friend’s house and on a trip. The places are endless as my online education is evident.

I am proof that you can achieve and obtain anything you put your mind too, and getting an online certificate, associate, bachelor and master degree is the key to success in any educational endeavors. Your determination and persistence in making your dreams come true is evident on graduation day.

I found this day to be one of the most exciting days of my life because my determination and persistence had finally paid off. I was there with about 400 graduates who had the same hollow feeling of pride to be accomplishing their goals, and some of them had so many road blocks, that if you heard their stories, you’d be amazed. One graduate got a standing ovation because of the obstacles that was thrown in her path to block her from ever graduating. The proof was definitely in the pudding as she stood among the rest of us on this joyous day.

Online or a traditional school does not matter one iota. The fact that you can interview, get the job, and perform your job duties is the key. Obtaining the certificate and degree is a plus in making your working dreams come true. Seeing your first paycheck, and laughing and crying at the same time because there is more money; the bills you can pay off, and the money that’s left over to do something for yourself and your family. This concept is what getting your education means. Who wants to continue to live from paycheck to paycheck without any means to an end? I don’t, and I know you don’t either.

There are sacrifices in life, and getting an online education is one of them. So August 4, 2007 was my graduation day and the four hundred other graduates, it was our day. I salute myself, and them, and I congratulate myself and them for a job well done. In this case I also salute Kaplan University for making our dreams come true.

Yes it was my graduation day, and I wept with joy and happiness. I am now an alumnus of Kaplan, with my associate degree in paralegal studies. Hurray for me, and my fellow graduates! The world is ready for us, and we’re going to take it by storm.

We lift up our hats, turn the tassel to the left, and the rest is history…
