It has often been said by Futurists that soon everyone will live over 100 years old. This means that humans will be able to do more things and have longer careers. Consider if you will if Einstein had more time here on earth he might have come up with more discoveries. Can you imagine how many discoveries that Leonardo da Vinci could have had had he lived for 200 years? How about Sir Isaac Newton, Galileo or Copernicus?

What if Plato would have lived 400 years or Thomas Jefferson for 250? There have been many great humans in history and in the future the same will hold true. But what if these humans could live longer? Well, it just so happens that we may possibly be living in an era where our life expectancy will be over 100 years old. Why you ask?

This is because such technologies as stem cell research, cloning, genetic engineering, nanotechnology and the advancement of prosthesis medical devices will allow us to live of well beyond the 100-year point. And by the time we live to be 100 years old there will be more scientific breakthroughs because the people who were working on them now will be working on them longer and have more of a chance for even more scientific breakthroughs. This means they will find ways to keep us alive for another 50 to maybe even another 200 more years.

Perhaps you were born in the right time and the right place to do some excellent good for the world of course there comes some other important considerations such as the fact that retirement age may be extended and therefore you will want to make sure that you are in a job that you really love because you may be doing it for a lot longer. This is why I have often said; Human Longevity may Yield Great Results to the Forward Progression of Mankind. And I hope you too will consider this in 2006.
