The notion of prejudice was explicit back in times when slavery existed. Nevertheless the question whether prejudice is implicit or explicit becomes extremely pertinent when we analyze the changes in contemporary world towards issues of national minorities. Setback of prejudice seems not be true even after the decrease of contradicts in traditional points of view on racial issues which is proved with results of several pollings. The reason of such situation is stress of public opinions because it is not possible to make the ideas of democratic society accepted by all countries.

As an opposite concept implicit prejudice is not planned, uncontrollable and sudden. Even these two conceptions being so relatively alike, behaviors can be absolutely different, be developed in both positive and negative forms. Scientists say that the responses are supposed to be conflicting. Implicit and explicit prejudices are proportional because a person with developed implicit prejudice has a higher degree of explicit prejudice too. It is of high importance to be able to see the difference between these two types of prejudice because of human reasonability; wise explicit prejudice may be controlled but the results of test can be totally different form what real values and morals are.

After a long analysis of relationships between explicit and implicit prejudice scientists define four major features of human behaviors. First of all there is a self disillusion that can be alluded in implicit prejudice. Also in implicit prejudice the level of qualitative analysis is higher. And the last concept states that the relationship between two prejudices has a bigger number of dimensions than usual ones and also they are factor of human behavior. That’s the reason why implicit prejudice is considered to be more effective.
